Ingredients for French Waffles Recipe

• 3 cups flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 7 eggs, separated
• 1 tablespoon brandy
• Grated peel of 1/2 lemon
• 1 yeast cake
• 2 cups milk

Instructions

1. Cream the butter, add the sugar and egg yolsk one at a time along with the grated lemon peel.
2. Add flour and milk alternately, beating until it is full of bubbles.
3. Add the dissolved yeast cake and the stiff whites of eggs.
4. Let it rise three hours and bake in a waffle iron until golden brown.
