Ingredients for French Toast Recipe 3
- 12 slices white bread, 1/4" thick
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1 pint milk
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Corn oil

Instructions
- Beat the eggs. Add milk, corn syrup, and salt.
- Dip the bread in egg mixture, one slice at a time. Drain for a moment and fry in sufficient corn oil to keep from sticking.
- Turn once, lightly browning both sides.
- Serve immediately as the main dish, with bacon, or as a breakfast, luncheon, or supper dish with corn syrup or fruit syrup.
