French Fried Potatoes Recipe 1

Instructions

  1. Wash and pare small potatoes, cut in eighths lengthwise, and soak 1 hour in cold water.
  2. Take from water, dry between towels, and fry in deep vegetable shortening.
  3. Drain on brown paper and sprinkle with salt.
  4. To test vegetable shortening, heat until a crumb of bread becomes a golden brown in 20 seconds.
