Ingredients for Finnan Haddie With Corn
- 1 finnan haddie, cut in 4 pieces
- 4 ears corn
- 1 cup milk, scalded
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Seasonings to taste
Instructions
- Boil the corn in salted water for about 20 minutes.
- Remove corn from water and scrape corn from cobs.
- While corn is boiling, boil the finnan haddie in water for about 5 minutes.
- Remove from water and skin and bone it.
- Put milk, butter, corn, finnan haddie and seasonings in a stew pan.
- Let boil slowly for about 5 minutes.
- Then serve.
