Ingredients for Fig, Prune Or Date Whip

• 4 figs or 10 prunes or 10 dates
• Scant¼ cup of sugar
• ¼ teaspoon of salt
• Boiled Custard No. 1, or Cream and sugar
• The whites of 3 eggs

Instructions

1. Prune Or Date Whip Recipe, Cook whichever fruit is used and cut it into tiny bits.
2. Beat the whites of eggs dry; gradually beat in half of the sugar, then cut and fold in the rest of the sugar and the fruit.
3. Bake in a buttered-and-sugared dish as any custard.
4. Serve hot with the boiled custard (cold) or with cream and sugar.
