Ingredients for Farina Pudding Recipe

  • 3 cups boiling milk
  • 1 cup farina
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 yolks eggs
  • Grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 25 chopped blanched almonds
  • 3 eggs whites

Instructions

  1. Stir farina into the boiling milk and cook 10 minutes.
  2. Rub together the vegetable shortening and sugar; add egg yolks, the grated rind, and the almonds.
  3. Stir this mixture into farina after it has cooled. Lastly, add whites of 3 eggs beaten to stiff froth.
  4. Steam this pudding in covered mold for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Serve with any sweet pudding sauce.
