Ingredients for Fairy Apple Pie Recipe
- 4 large, tart apples
- Pot of hot water
- 3 egg whites
- Pastry shell

Instructions
- Core and quarter apples without paring.
- Steam over hot water until tender, rub through a sieve, sweeten to taste and chill.
- Beat egg whites until stiff and dry.
- Add the apples, flavor to taste, and beat again.
- Turn into a half-baked pastry shell and finish baking in a moderate oven.
- Serve hot with cream and sugar or whipped cream.
