Ingredients for Drop Fruit Cookies Recipe

  • 2/3 cup corn syrup
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • ½ cup corn oil
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup raisins
  • ½ cup chopped dates
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3-¼ cups flour
  • ¼ cup Argo or Kingsford's cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon clove
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Stir dry ingredients together and add fruit.
  2. Mix corn syrup, sugar, corn oil, milk and egg and beat in flour mixture.
  3. Drop by teaspoons (an inch apart) onto a pan oiled with corn oil, and bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees F., about fifteen minutes.
