Ingredients for Dried Fruit Soup Recipe 1

  • 1/2 cup of dried apples
  • 1/4 cup each of prunes, raisins, and currants
  • 1 small stick of cinnamon
  • 8 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of sago or oatmeal

Instructions

  1. Cook apples, prunes, raisins, and currants with the stick of cinnamon in eight cups of water. Replace the water as it boils away.
  2. Boil gently until the fruit is tender.
  3. If liked, leave the fruit whole or pass through a colander.
  4. Add two tablespoons of vinegar.
  5. Sweeten to taste and thicken with two tablespoons of sago or oatmeal.
