Devon Cake Recipe

Ingredients for Devon Cake

• ¼ cup soft butter
• ¾ cup sugar
• ½ cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1½ cups flour
• 3 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

1. Mix and sift the flour, sugar and baking powder together.
2. Put the egg whites, butter, vanilla and milk together, and beat with a Dover egg beater until light.
3. After this, stir in the dry ingredients.
4. Turn into a loaf tin, or bake in layers.
