Ingredients for Custard Renversee With Almonds

  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons (level) of sugar
  • ¼ cup of blanched almonds
  • 2 whole eggs
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 yolks of eggs
  • 1½ cups of milk

Instructions

  1. Cook the half cup of sugar to caramel; add the nuts, cut in slices, cook a moment longer, and use to line a charlotte mold.
  2. Beat the eggs; add the sugar and salt and beat again; add the milk, mix thoroughly and turn into the lined mold.
  3. Bake in the usual manner.
