Ingredients for Currant Rolls Recipe
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 2 slightly rounded teaspoons baking-powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 rounded tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/2 rounding tablespoons butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of creamed butter
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 3/4 cup of dried currants

Instructions
- Sift together the sifted flour, baking-powder, salt, and sugar. Add 1 1/2 rounding tablespoons butter. Rub thoroughly through the flour.
- Beat the egg and add milk. Add this to dry material and stir to smooth dough.
- Quickly and lightly, turn dough on to flour board and roll out into sheet about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread with 2 tablespoons of creamed butter, sprinkle with granulated sugar and cinnamon mixture, and top with dried currants.
- Roll into small, thin rolls.
- Bake at 425 degreesfor about twenty to thirty minutes.
