Ingredients for Currant Cake Recipe
- 1 cup currants (black or red), washed
- 2 cups flour
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of salt

Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugar.
- Add the eggs well beaten, and then the milk.
- Add the flour sifted with baking powder and salt, stir, and add the currants.
- Bake in cake tin buttered and floured for about 40 minutes in a moderate oven.
