Ingredients for Crumb Pan Cakes Recipe
- 1½ cups coarse bread crumbs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Cook the crumbs, milk and butter in double boiler for fifteen minutes, rub through a sieve.
- When cool, add the beaten yolks of 2 eggs and the flour sifted with baking powder and salt.
- Fold in the whites beaten very stiff.
- Pour onto hot griddle and cook until golden brown on both sides, flipping once.
