Crisco Fruit Fudge Recipe

Ingredients for vegetable shortening Fruit Fudge
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- ½ cup chopped English walnut meats
- ½ cup sultana raisins
- 2 tablespoons cream
- Pinch of salt

Instructions
- Put vegetable shortening, sugar, cocoa, salt, and milk into saucepan, and stir till it boils to 240 degree, or until it forms a soft ball when tested in cold water.
- Remove from fire, add raisins, cream, nut meats, and extracts, and beat mixture until thick and creamy.
- Put back on stove, and heat, stirring constantly until melted, then pour into vegetable shorteninged tins.
- When partly cool mark into neat squares.
- Sufficient for thirty squares.
