Ingredients for Creole Sauce

  • 2 cups stewed tomato
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • ½ cup diced sweet bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1-½ tablespoons vegetable butter
  • A sprinkle of sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Put butter, pepper, onion, and crushed garlic into a saucepan, cover and let simmer for a few minutes, stirring often, so as to prevent scorching.
  2. Add the tomato, and let boil gently for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Add salt to taste, a sprinkle of sugar and chopped parsley and serve.
