Ingredients for Cream Sauce

  • 1/3 pint cream
  • 2/3 pint milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons flour

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk and cream to scalding in a double boiler.
  2. Moisten the flour with a little cold milk, and add to the hot milk and cream, stirring meanwhile.
  3. Cook thoroughly, and add salt.
  4. Thin cream sauce is made by using one-half the amount of flour.
