Ingredients for Cream Of Corn Soup No. 2 Recipe

  • 1 cup corn
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 slice onion
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt, pepper

Instructions

  1. Chop the corn. Add water and let it simmer for twenty-five minutes; then rub through a sieve.
  2. Scald the milk with the onion; then remove the onion.
  3. Melt the butter, add the flour, and gradually pour on the milk.
  4. Mix the sauce with the corn; cook thoroughly, season to taste with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve hot.
