Ingredients for Cream Filling For Cakes Recipe

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup milk, scalded
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon flavoring extract

Instructions

  1. Mix cornstarch, salt and sugar with a little cold water.
  2. Add the egg, mixing thoroughly.
  3. Pour slowly the hot milk over the mixture.
  4. Cook for about 4 minutes or until smooth and thick, and then add flavoring.
  5. Let cool a bit Spread between layers of cake.
