Ingredients for Crab Soup Recipe 2

  • Cooked meat from 6 hard-shelled crabs, chopped fine
  • 3 cups white stock
  • 2/3 cup stale breadcrumbs
  • 1 slice of onion
  • 1 sprig of parsley
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup cream
  • Salt and red pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine crab meat with white stock, stale breadcrumbs, onion, and parsley. Simmer 20 minutes.
  2. Blend together vegetable shortening and flour. Add cream, salt, and red pepper to taste.
  3. Combine mixtures and bring to boiling point.
