Ingredients for Country Or Brown Sauce Or Gravy Recipe

  • 2 tablespoons fat or butter in which meat has been cooked
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups water
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Add flour to fat in a pan that has just cooked meat.
  2. Let it become brown (not burned).
  3. Add the water and stir until smooth and medium thick.
  4. Season to taste. Simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Pass through a fine strainer-this gives a better and more appetizing appearance.
