Ingredients for Corned Beef Hash Recipe 2

  • 2 cups chopped corned beef
  • 2 cups diced cooked potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup milk or water
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Combine beef and potatoes; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Pour milk into a frying pan with 1 tbs. of the butter; add beef and potato mixture, spreading it evenly; add remaining butter, cut in pieces, on the top.
  3. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
  4. A rich thick crust should form on bottom.
  5. Do not stir the hash.
  6. Fold it as an omelet is folded and place it on a warm platter.
  7. This slow process of heating the hash gives it a flavor that cannot be obtained by hurried cooking.
