Ingredients for Corn Meal Puffs Recipe
- 1 cup pastry flour
- 1/3 cup corn meal, lightly toasted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vegetable fat
- 1 scant cup milk
- 1 egg separated
Instructions
- Combine the flour, corn meal, milk, oil, salt, and egg yolk and stir into a smooth batter.
- Beat the egg white stiff and gradually fold the batter into the beaten white.
- Using a large spoon, drop the batter into hot, greased iron gem pans and bake in a medium oven to a nice brown.
