Colcannon Recipe

Ingredients for Colcannon

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable shortening
  • ½ lb. cold cooked potatoes
  • ½ lb. cold cooked cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop onion and cabbage and mash potatoes.
  2. Put into frying pan with vegetable shortening and fry few minutes adding seasonings.
  3. Turn into vegetable shorteninged fireproof dish and brown in oven.
