Coffee Nut Caramels Recipe

Instructions

  1. Place in a granite saucepan one cup of confectioner's sugar, half a cup of cream and a quarter of a cup of very strong coffee; stir constantly over a hot fire, until it reaches the hard ball stage, remove from the fire and stir in a cup of hickory meats.
  2. Turn out on an oiled slab or into a pan, having the paste half an inch thick, and mark into squares while warm.
