Coffee Cake Recipe 1

Instructions

1. Sift one teaspoon each of salt, cinnamon and cloves with one and one-half cups of flour.
2. Clean one cup of raisins and stir into one-half cup of flour.
3. Cream one cup of sugar with one-half cup of butter, add one-half cup of molasses, beat well; then add alternately flour and one cup of cold coffee in which one teaspoon of soda has been dissolved.
4. Lastly add the floured raisins and beat thoroughly before turning into the cake pans.
