Ingredients for Clam And Corn Soup Recipe

  • 36 clams, in the shell
  • 4 cups corn, off the cob
  • 5 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash clams and steam them, adding 1 cup of the water.
  2. When clams are open, remove from the shells.
  3. Strain clam juice through a towel or cheesecloth.
  4. Add the corn, remaining water, butter and seasonings to the clam juice.
  5. Boil for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  6. While these are boiling, cut the clams in large pieces.
  7. Ten minutes before serving, add the clams, and boil together for about 10 minutes.
  8. Then serve.
