Ingredients for Chocolate Caramels

  • 1 cup of sweet milk
  • 1 cup of molasses
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • ½ a cup of grated chocolate

Instructions

  1. Piece of butter the size of an egg.
  2. Let it boil until thick, and stir constantly.
  3. Turn it out on buttered plates, and mark it in squares when it begins to stiffen, so that it will break readily when cold.
