Ingredients for Chocolate Candy Recipe
- 1 1/4 cups butter
- 35 soda crackers
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 14 ounces condensed milk, sweet
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- Heat 1/4 cup butter in over a low flame until melted.
- Pour butter into a 15x10 inch roll pan lined with foil.
- Break up crackers and place them into the butter.
- Heat remaining butter and add the brown sugar. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce to low and stir for two minutes.
- Remove from stove, add milk, and pour into roll pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven when bubbly.
- Let cool for a minute.
- Spread chocolate chips evenly on top and set aside for 5 minutes.
- Drop walnuts on top and push them lightly into the chocolate.
- Let cool on the counter for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
