Ingredients for Chocolate Candy Recipe

  • 1 1/4 cups butter
  • 35 soda crackers
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 14 ounces condensed milk, sweet
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425° F.
  2. Heat 1/4 cup butter in over a low flame until melted.
  3. Pour butter into a 15x10 inch roll pan lined with foil.
  4. Break up crackers and place them into the butter.
  5. Heat remaining butter and add the brown sugar. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce to low and stir for two minutes.
  7. Remove from stove, add milk, and pour into roll pan.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven when bubbly.
  10. Let cool for a minute.
  11. Spread chocolate chips evenly on top and set aside for 5 minutes.
  12. Drop walnuts on top and push them lightly into the chocolate.
  13. Let cool on the counter for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
