Ingredients for Chestnuts And Tomatoes

  • 2 pounds chestnuts
  • 4 tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the chestnuts in water for about 40 minutes.
  2. Remove from water.
  3. Remove shells and brown skin.
  4. Put tomatoes, butter and seasonings in a stew pan.
  5. Cover.
  6. Let cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Add the chestnuts and let cook very slowly for about 20 minutes.
  8. Then serve.
