Instructions
- A pleasing variation of the old but always popular cheese straws and cheese fingers, is made thus: Melt one tablespoon of butter, add one and one-half tablespoons of flour and pour on one- fourth cup of milk.
- Add one-fourth cup, each, of grated cheese and cheese cut in small cubes, and one egg white, unbeaten.
- Season with salt, paprika and cayenne.
- Bake pastry in fingershaped pieces, split and spread with cheese mixture.
- Heat slightly before serving.
