Scones History

Historically, the scone is attributed to the Scottish. Its name comes from the Stone of Destiny, which is called a “scone” by the Scots. The Stone of Destiny is where Scottish kings were crowned. The traditional triangle shape may have originally been designed to resemble the crown.

Work Time Treat

While scone recipes are common in Europe, most Americans have yet to try their first scones. Treat your work mates to their first taste. While they can be served warm, it is not uncommon to serve them cold. Don’t forget to take along a jar of honey, jam, or jelly for a special delight. .
