Our man behind the oven, Patrick Mooney

What can we say about our resident Mad Baker, Patrick Mooney? He slices, he dices, he purees! But wait, there’s more…

Not only is Patrick a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, but he’s also willing to share his culinary expertise with the readers of Mad Baker Tips. Patrick has already enlightened many of us with his tips on frying an egg, making the perfect cheesecake, and healthy cooking. Once he gets us all up to speed on the basics, he’ll start sharing more fun, but a bit more challenging, recipes and cooking tips.

Patrick has worked at several restaurants and is currently the baker at California Lutheran University. His culinary tendencies lean toward baking and Mediterranean-style cooking. He promises to include recipes from all facets of the Mediterranean region, including Morocco, Egypt, Italy, southern French, Albania, and even a tip or two from the Turks.

Born in Manhattan, raised in Brooklyn, with a few years spent in Los Angeles, Patrick would like readers to know that he likes tea, small white dogs, all forms of music, and red wine in large amounts. He also prefers spice rubs, marinades, mousse and mousse domes, and cookies. Enjoy the Mad Baker tips!
