A Drink for Dessert?
Many people don't consider a meal complete without dessert. Although there are plenty of desserts available, both kids and adults often look to dessert drinks like ice cream sodas and hot cocoa as the perfect end to a good meal. These refreshing treats taste great anytime of the day, even before or during a meal.

Drink Tips
Combining juices and spirits can create different flavors that will satisfy anyone's sweet tooth. Changing up these combinations by adding more or less of a particular flavor can change a drink from light and airy to rich and decadent. Whether you choose to use alcohol or not, consider the following tips when making homemade drinks:
- If using fresh fruit, strain the juice carefully to remove pulp, pits, seeds, and bits of rind.
- Choose complimentary flavors for blended drinks and avoid using too many flavors in one concoction.
- Fruit flavors may overshadow other ingredients – keep proportions balanced for every flavor to come through, or add smaller proportions of vegetable juices for better nutrition without changing the overall taste.
- Experiment with different amounts for unique tastes and use varieties of fruits and vegetables.
- Be aware that some juices will separate based on their density. You may need to stir the drinks periodically unless the layered look is the desired result.
- To create a beautiful presentation, consider adding a slice of fresh fruit on the edge of the glass or letting it float in the drink. You can also create a sugared rim on the glass with either clear or color-coordinated sugar.
