Ingredients for Caramel Tapioca Recipe 1

  • ½ cup old-fashioned pearl tapioca
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 quart boiling water

Instructions

  1. Soak the tapioca over night.
  2. Combine the corn syrup, salt, vanilla and water in a baking dish.
  3. Add the tapioca, which should be drained, cover and take two hours in a moderate oven, removing the cover the second hour.
  4. Serve with cream or corn syrup.
