Ingredients for Caramel Layer Cake
- 1/3 cup corn oil
- 1 cup sugar
- Few grains salt
- 2 eggs
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons Argo or Kingsford's Cornstarch
- Flour - about 1-½ cups

Instructions
- Pour the corn oil in the mixing bowl, add the sugar, salt, egg yolks, vanilla and beat till creamy.
- Put the cornstarch in a measuring cup, fill the cup with flour and then measure out another half cup.
- Add two teaspoons baking powder and sift into the egg mixture, alternately with the milk.
- Beat well, fold in the egg whites whipped light and bake in two layer cake pans oiled with corn oil.
- Put together and frost with Caramel Icing.
