Ingredients for Cantaloupe Cream Soup Recipe
- 2 cantaloupes, peeled, seeded, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Seasonings to taste
- 6 cups thick white sauce
Ingredients to make white sauce:
- 1 pint of milk
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 4 tablespoons of flour
Instructions
- To make white sauce: scald milk. Melt butter in a saucepan. Add salt and flour and let cook for one minute, stirring constantly. Add the milk little by little, stirring gently until it boils. Let it boil for 3 minutes.
- To the white sauce, add cantaloupes, butter, and seasonings.
- Let it cook for about 20 minutes.
- Pass through large strainer.
- Then serve.
