Ingredients for Cannoli Tubes Recipe
- 1 lb. flour
- 3 oz. sugar
- 3 oz. shortening
- 2 eggs, separate out one egg white to later place on cannoli
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Instructions
- Combine ingredients, then roll out with a rolling pin.
- Slice into squares and wrap around specially-made cannoli tubes using egg white to hold together.
- Heat oil and deep fry 3 at once until golden brown.
- Remove shells from oil and drain on paper towel.
- Cool to touch and remove from cannoli tubes.
- Once the shells have completely cooled, you may stuff with refrigerated filling.
