Ingredients for Butter Wafers

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • Orange or lemon rind, grated

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, and add sugar, flour, eggs, baking powder, and rind of fruit.
  2. Beat all ingredients to a smooth batter.
  3. With a tablespoon drop the mixture into a buttered pan in drops the size of a silver dollar.
  4. Bake in moderate oven for 15 minutes.
