Ingredients for Buckwheat Cakes Recipe

• 1 cup wheat flour
• 2 cups buckwheat flour
• 7 teaspoons baking powder
• 1½ cups milk
• 1 cup water
• 1 tablespoon molasses
• 1 tablespoon shortening, melted

Instructions

1. Sift all dry ingredients together.
2. Add molasses, melted shortening, milk and water.
3. Beat thoroughly.
4. Cook on hot slightly greased griddle, flipping once.
