Ingredients for Brown Cream Sauce Recipe

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon browned flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Stir the brown and white flour smooth with a little of the milk.
  2. Heat the remaining milk and cream to boiling, adding the flour mixture.
  3. Cook until thickened and add salt.
  4. Milk instead of cream may be used by adding two tablespoons of butter substitute.
