Ingredients for Boston Brown Bread Recipe 2
- 1½ cups graham flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- ½ cup rye flour
- ½ cup ground rolled oats
- 6 teaspoons baking powder
- 1½ cups milk
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Mix together graham flour, cornmeal, rye flour, rolled oats, baking powder and salt.
- Add milk and molasses.
- Beat well and thoroughly.
- Put in well greased Boston brown bread mould.
- Steam for about 2 hours.
- Remove cover and bake in moderate oven until top of the bread is dry.
