Ingredients for Boiled Rice Japanese Method Recipe
- 1 cup rice
- 5 cups boiling water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Instructions
- Wash the rice thoroughly by pouring boiling water over it and rinsing it in several pans of cold water.
- Add salt and rice to the actively boiling water.
- Cover and allow it to boil slowly for fifteen minutes.
- Place it in the oven, still covered, for fifteen more minutes.
- Each grain should be soft and tender, yet whole and distinct.
