Biscayan Cod Recipe

Instructions

  1. Remove the bones from 2 pounds of cod, and soak in cold water overnight.
  2. Put over the fire in fresh water, and heat slowly to boiling, then add fresh water and boil again; take out and scale.
  3. Heat a gill of oil, and fry in it 2 chopped onions and a green pepper for a few minutes, and put in a bruised clove of garlic, a sliced tomato, and a chili pepper; add 3 pints of both, and season with 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce and a bunch of parsley; then add a pint of peeled potatoes, and cook forty minutes; then put in the cod, boil for five minutes, and serve.
