Ingredients for Beef Tongue Braised With Lentils Recipe
- 1 pound lentils, picked, washed and soaked 6 hours
- 1 fresh beef tongue (not smoked)
- 2 whole onions, peeled
- 1 whole carrot, peeled
- 2½ quarts water
- Seasonings to taste
Instructions
- Put all ingredients together in a kettle.
- Cover.
- Let it cook slowly for about 2 hours. The water will be almost entirely absorbed by the lentils.
- Serve.
