Ingredients for Beef Steak And Lamb Kidney Pie Recipe
Filling:
- 1½ pounds sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 4 lamb kidneys, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 onions, peeled, chopped fine
- 1½ cups water
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
Pie crust:
- 1 1/4 C flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 C shortening
- Cold water
Instructions
- Sift flour, salt, and sugar together.
- Work quickly, with the tips of the fingers, to blend the shortening into the mixture.
- Use enough cold water to make the particles of the mixture adhere together.
- Turn on floured pastry board and roll, handling as little as possible.
- Put kidneys, beef, butter, onions, Worcestershire sauce, salt and water in a pudding dish.
- Moisten the edges of the pudding dish.
- Cover with pie crust.
- Bake in 350 degreen oven for about 35 minutes.
