Ingredients for Beef, Mexican Braised Recipe

  • 5 pounds beef round, whole piece
  • 4 green peppers, seeded, cut in pieces
  • 3 cups red beans (soaked 8 hours)
  • 6 onions, peeled, sliced
  • ½ love garlic
  • 6 tomatoes, cut in quarters
  • 6 cups water
  • vegetable oil
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

Mexican Braised Beef Recipe

Brown the beef on both sides in the vegetable oil.

  1. Put beef in kettle with all other ingredients.
  2. Cover.
  3. Cook slowly for about 1 hour on the stove, then for 2 hours in the oven.
  4. Serve.
