Ingredients for Beans, French (a La Maitre D'hotel) Recipe

  • 1 pound beans
  • Pot of water
  • 2 ounces melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare and boil beans in the usual manner. Make sure they are well drained.
  2. Keep them hot and, when dry, put them in a stewpan with melted butter, chopped parsley, salt, and lemon juice.
  3. Shake the pan over brisk heat, mix well, and serve hot in eight minutes.
  4. Sufficient for four persons.
