Ingredients for Asparagus And Barley Soup Recipe

  • 12 asparagus stalks, peeled, cut in small pieces
  • 1½ cups barley, washed
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cups milk, scalded
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the water and add the asparagus, barley, and seasonings.
  2. Boil for about 35 minutes.
  3. Add the milk and butter and cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Then serve.
