Ingredients for Asparagus, Italian Style Recipe
- 2 bunches of asparagus
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted shortening
- lemon juice
- red pepper
- salt
Instructions
- Cut tender parts of asparagus into short lengths and set to boil till quite tender.
- Take up, drain, and put into saucepan with oil, few drops lemon juice, sprinkling of red pepper and salt.
- Let get thoroughly hot, and serve on slices of fried bread.
